| Story Hour (for ages 4&5) | |
| This fun group meets on Tuesday or Friday mornings from 10-11 AM. The Children’s Librarian will share books and fun pre-reading activities with letters and numbers. Crafts will be shared and parties will be held at holiday times. | |
| Little Bits (for ages 2&3) | |
| Little Bits is an interactive group for parents and their children. The Children’s Librarian will share songs, finger plays, stories, movies, and crafts. Parties are also held at holiday times. The class meets on Tuesday or Fridays mornings at 11:30 until noon. | |
| BabyTALK | |
| Parents or
caregivers and babies under the age of 2 are welcome to join the
Buchanan County Public Library’s monthly BabyTALK class. The
class meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 1:30 for
half an hour. The Children’s Librarian will share with parents
all about the importance of reading aloud to children.
Development book lists are given to parents so they can select
age appropriate books to read aloud at home. Come join the

| Read Aloud Night | |
| Every Thursday night
from 6-6:30 the Children’s Librarian shares stories with
children of all ages and their parents. The class is casual so
pull up a chair and join the circle of listeners! www.readaloudva.org |

| Always remember during the winter months to call the library before you come to a program. And remember if the Buchanan County Public Schools are closed, our programs are cancelled. However, when school is closed for an extended period of time and the roads are clear, we will continue on a normal schedule, but please call to make sure before you leave home. | |
