Dolly Parton Imagination Library
In
March of 2005 the Friends became the sponsor in Buchanan County for the
Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which gets books into the hands of
children. When a parent who is a resident of Buchanan County signs up
their child receives a free book each month in the mail until their
fifth birthday!
Although a specific child cannot be sponsored, the cost to sponsor one child in our county per year is $30. That's 12 books per year delivered to their mailbox from the Friends of the BCPL. Your business, church group, service club, PTA, PTO, scout group or family can all join in by sponsoring a child or children, or a child may be sponsored in honor of a friend or family member or in celebration of their birthday or anniversary.
