 Come Join the Fun as the Buchanan County Public Library, the Buchanan County Historical Society, and the Friends of the Buchanan County Public Library Celebrate our Coal Mining History and Heritage at the Buchanan County Public Library on Poe Town Road in Grundy.

Guidelines & Details

Area artists of all ages are invited to display their work and compete for prizes.  We are looking for coal mining related art in any medium.  This includes paintings, drawings, photographs, textile art, sculpture, and mixed media.  Display space is limited so please contact us if your piece requires more than three cubic feet.  All contestants are limited to one entry that must be delivered to the Buchanan County Public Library between July 22^nd and July 26^th.  All entries will remain on display until Aug 10^th. 

They must be picked-up between Aug 11^th and Aug 14^th.  
Winners will be announced at 12 PM Saturday Aug 9^th.  

Categories:

  I.      Ages up to Five
II.    Ages Six to Ten
III.   Ages Eleven to Fifteen
IV.   Ages Sixteen to Eighteen
V.    Ages Nineteen and over

 Judging and Awards:

1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place ribbons will be awarded.  1^st place winners will also receive an art book. 
Entries will be judged on originality, technical skill, and illustration of our theme.   

Please No Photographs of Art Show Entries While on Display.
There is No Charge and Everyone is Welcome.
