The library holds more than 100,000 items that circulate including the latest bestsellers, audio books, DVD's, and popular magazines. We offer one of the broadest local history and genealogy collections in this region. Our digital services include downloadable audiobooks, eBooks, databases, and more available to library card holders from any internet connected computer in Buchanan County. Our Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Buchanan County Public Library to meet the intellectual, practical, leisure, and other library needs of the citizens of Buchanan County. The Buchanan County Public Library endorses the Library Bill of Rights. We fulfill this mission by:
* Assembling, preserving, and administering print and non-print materials to meet the information needs of our community
* Serving as a cultural center for the county by locating information, guiding reading, and providing programs of interest to our community
* Providing recreation through the use of books, magazines, music, films, and other art forms.
