Printing and Circulation Services

The Buchanan County Public Library offers self service photocoping and limited staff assisted color copying. Faxs may be sent and received at the library with staff assistance.  Patrons may print from library computers in black and white or color.  Laminations are available on a limited basis.  These services are available during business hours for a small charge.

Children and Teen Services

We actively support children, teens, parents, and educators by providing the latest in bestselling and award wining books, audio books, and magazines.  We also offer programs and events which encourage intellectual and personal growth including Baby Talk, story times, school visits, costume character visits, and teen program events.

Reference Services

Our Circulation staff and Public Services Librarian are happy to assist with your research.  We offer Interlibrary Loan services, database assistance, and some genealogy assistance.

Outreach Activities

Through our home delivery service, library patrons may receive circulating library materials through the mail at no cost to them.  To sign up, contact us.  Other outreach activites include visits to schools, visits to community and civic groups, and participation in various fairs and Buchanan County festivals.  If you would like us to visit your group, please contact us.  

The Library's Collection

W have a broad collection of books, magazines, area newspapers, audio books, DVD's and video tapes, as well as a strong local history and genealogy special collection.  In addtiton to our in house collection, we also have access to online databases, encyopedias, news services, downloadbable audio books and eBooks.

Community Spaces in the Library

We provide meeting space to not for profit community groups and organizations.  Groups which have meet at the library include the Buchanan County Historical Society, the Boy Scouts, the Girl Scouts, Warner on Your Corner, and  DAR.  To schedule, please contact the circulation desk.

If we are closed, all items except Videos and DVDs may be returned through our
Book Drop located left of the main entrance doors.
