Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.. The Buchanan County Public Library is proud to announce Kim Michele Richardson will join us for our 2026 Community Read. We will discuss her latest novel, The Mountains We Call Home, a standalone and companion novel to the The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek series. Kim Michele will be signing copies of her books following her remarks.

Friday, March 20, 2026 2 p.m.. Join Whitney Johnson, the Appalachian Forager, as she visits the library during homesteading month. She has built an amazing following teaching the world how to be more self-sufficient while responsibly utilizing the goodies that Momma Nature provides. She will be selling and signing copies of her book following her class.
